Playgroups
There are two Permaculture Playgroups in the Inner West – Braybrook Sprouts and Maidstone Permaplay.
Maidstone Permaplay is currently running once a month between 9:30am and 11:30am on a Monday at the Maidstone Community Garden and is open to all. If you would be interested in helping to coordinate this playgroup please contact Nick at admin@powvic.org.au
The Braybrook Sprouts run 10am until midday every Tuesday at Braybrook Community Centre Garden, Churchill Ave, Braybrook and is open to all.
The Playgroups introduce children to gardens and the things that grow and live in them. Kids get up close to snails and caterpillars, plant seeds, learn to look after plants and reap the rewards. Parents work together to make the garden productive, and the harvest is shared amongst participants.
Permaplaygroups have a sustainability focus, and participants are encouraged to share skills, tips and resources with other locals.
If you would like to visit one of our groups, set up a Permaplaygroup in your area, or get some info – email admin@powvic.org.au.
