Treeproject is back
West Sunshine Community Centre (25 Kermeen Street, West Sunshine) will host a TreeProject information & training session on Saturday 13 November for people who would like to be environmental volunteers growing trees form seed in their back yards for rural landholders who want to re-tree their land. TreeProject will run an information and training session at the centre again this year in November.
Participants learn how to prepare native seed, plant it and look after the seedlings at their own homes for approximately six months. The seedlings are then distributed to rural landholders wanting to plant more trees on their land.
This is a great way to be an environmental volunteer, fostering plants in your own back yard to help balance our rural environment.
